COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Sample at Blackback with Al, Golden orange pour with frothy white head. Notes are biscuit, white wine, peppery hop, menthol and some other Belgian tasting stuff. This was not my thing.

Pours foggy orange yellow with a small frothy white top. Aroma is lemon, light grapefruit and honey malts. Taste is crisp, honey and lemon grains, biscuit and grapefruit hop.

Dark golden/light amber pour with a big fluffy white head that has good staying power and leaves a lovely lace. Fairly bright tropical fruit on the nose with a fresh spruce note as well. I also seem to be getting a light Belgian yeast note as well. A little less fruity on the palate, but still well packed with tropical notes. I still get a slight Belgian feel but it’s more muted than it was on the palate. Finishes with a crisp, lingering bitterness.

Bottle, thank you again Colin. Golden orange, hazy, foamy white head. Tropical and citrus fruit aroma. Really lovely soft well carbonated body. Taste is up front malt sweetness, which actually detracts a bit from the lovely tropical fruit taste, mixed with a heavy dose of strange up orange. Medium bitterness, and the whole package in incredibly drinkable. Another clean, well made product from these guys. Quite good.

Bottle from Peluso. 6.5% A slightly opaque honey gold with a thick white head. Bready pungent hop pellet & pepper aroma. The taste is very much light malts, freshly baked bread, crisp, lemon, quite pleasant.

600ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha in Gatineau, Quebec. Clear copper in colour with a thin white head, good lacing. The aroma is of tropical fruits, oranges and caramel. The flavour is of grapefruits, oranges, tropical fruits. Bitter mouthfeel. Finishes long with a lingering bitterness. Very good.

My Bottom Line:
Conifers line this beach’s pineapple and passionfruit stands, lending bitter wooden lengths to this otherwise very sunny IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A foam cumulus settles atop the hazy sunshine yellow.
-The mouthfeel is lean and super clean, as is expected for TDD brews.
-This is obviously highly drinkable, despite the important bitterness.
-I felt like the aroma was not as engaging as the flavor profile, even though it was still enjoyable.

Bottle.

On tap at E+OH, honey gold color, with a small white head, nice floral tropical fruit, citrus, leafy, piney hoppy nose, with some lemon, grapefruit, lime rind, faint crunchy honeyed pale, toasted malt, subtle pine bark accent, and a subtle spicy white pepper, spritzy greengrapefruit peel note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a good flowery citrus, leafy, minty, piney, resiny hoppy character, with some zesty, spritzy lemon, grapefruit peel, lemon marmalade, lemon pie, mild hop pellets, greengrapefruit rind flavours, leading towards a zesty, spritzy , citrus rind, lingering citrus, minty, grassy, piney hop bitterness finish.
