Tap at Volo
Aroma frontal straight citra hop profile. Slight musky pungent character noted. Still quiet refreshing.7+
Appearance hazed golden look with amber hue. Large fine creamy top. Nice lase. Solid looking ale.
Flavor and Palate : thinner bodied. Some caramel, musky a bit soft for IPA. Slight chalkiness, tad astringent with hinted diacetyl (or is this byproduct of Citra?). Bitter side ends with alcohol. Dry hop profile grew as you drink.

Cask Days, Benelux, Montreal, June 9. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy -- the hops being resiny, oily and catty. Flavour of citrus fruit and catty hops. Average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 25, 2012
[4508-20120609] Cask. Mild cigarette smoky grains and some orange hints in the aroma. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter light orange flavour with a slightly cloying pineapple-like aftertaste. Medium body seems almost dry at times. Nice to sample, seems well put together. (6/3/7/3+/14) 3.3

Bright and light bronze. Very herbal nose, sage and rosemary. Sweetish - nice clean pale malts and some minty herbal hops overtop of that.

Fresh keg at Bateu de nuit, tons of aroma, very citrusy and tropical. Flavor was similar, but with a bit more of pine and very dry finish. Very good.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2012
My Bottom Line :
Delicate herbs and citrus fruit spice up a well defined base malt building a wonderful dry and hoppy quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam floats atop the nearly clear pale straw blond.
-The dry and crisp mouthfeel makes the entire package feel like a New World Pils. Very distinctive.
-The hop bitterness is sandy and resinous, leveled with the rest of the brew’s moderate intensity.
-This cask was impeccably tendered, which is rare in these parts.
On cask at Benelux.

Draft at brewpub. Bright gold. Aroma is rich citra, deep and resinous with that lovely cat pee. Nutty pale malts add a little sweetness to what is otherwise a resiny hoppy yum.

In short: A refreshing fruity blonde IPA with a assertive bitterness
How: Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2011
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The hoppy nose has a tropical fruits, some grass and some cat urine (I get that from Citra hops). Taste has a very nice crisp crackers-like pale malts body with a whole lot of refreshing tropical fruity and floral hops. Rather high bitterness level but it doesn’t detracts from the drinkability of the beer with most flavors being the of refreshing type. SMaSH stands for Single Malt and Single Hop, maybe they’ll get along and go out on a date together.
