Cask, Hinckley Fest 08. Dark brown with a small beige head. Aromas are smoky and earthy with sweet molasses. Strong coffee with some salty soy. Flavours are earthy, dry roast malts with bitter coffee. Resinous bitterness with some sourness. Hints of soy with a dry finish.

<i> <b> Cask at the Old Oak Inn, Horsely Woodhouse, 15-08-08 </i> </b> Pours very dark brown with some ruby highlights. Sweet fruity and dark malty beer with some nice toast toast and strawberry jam on nose. There is a light but lasting bitterness, I’m sure that the hops for this are the same as the other two beers that I’ve just had, nice hoppiness. Once again there is a decent buzzing bitterness, some milky, creamy coffee on the nose, good beer.

Cask &#40;handpulled&#41; at the Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire 2005. A great combination; malt wash of the well-bodied porter works well with the deep sweetness of maples. Never sickly, always delivers a sustained flavour.
