Clear dark amber orange color with a small, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, fruity, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100804]

Cask at GBBF 2010. A dark amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops. The flavo ris sweet with lemons as well as lighter notes of caramel and hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Hop aroma. Amber coloured fruity and hoppy with a grapefruit flavour. A hint of dryness in a bitter malt finish.

Cask@GBBF2010. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, fruits, some herbs and mild caramel malts. Flavour is quite much the same in a quite nice balance.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2010, served in an English pint glass. Pours clear maple syrup with a thin rocky head. Head has moderate retention and lacing. On the nose, quite light, airy and fruity. Sweet roasted malts are present, with small hops. The flavour is well balanced between moderately sweet roasty malts and herbal hops. There is also a slight sour component. The finish is long and very roasty. On the palate, light in body with a smooth, watery texture. Overall, a very nice roasty bitter. It is very light and drinkable but the aroma is a bit small. 2010-08-04

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Citric and orange fruity aroma. Fruity and citrusy. Bitter and slight roasted malt. Bitter and dry finish.
