12oz bottle 3/19/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-38° in Weizen-Pours like a coke with a small tan head. Aroma of wheat and banana. Taste of wheat, malt, banana, and chocolate. This light bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy brown body with a one finger frothy beige head that left some nice lacing. The nose is a nice mix of earthy dark wheat and yeast with some light roast and coffee. The flavor is pretty solid as well, a heavy dark wheat with the right amount of yeastiness that fades to a coffee laced and lightly roasty finish. There’s not a ton of yeast in here, but it definitely comes through nicely. Medium bodied with a softness lent by the yeast and a gentle fizzy carbonation level. Pretty nice Dunkleweizen, better than their Hefe.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Total Wine, Fairfax twelve ounce: Pours dark brown with a greyish head. Aroma is light chocolate, yeast, some roast, and slight fruitiness. It is not a bad dunkeweizen... Pretty light. Not bad.

Serving: from tap at Fish Tale Brew Pub.
Aroma: light malt.
Appearance: no head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, cola-brown body.
Taste: lightly sour initial flavor and lightly sour, roasty finish with short duration.
Palate: light bodied with watery texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: nothing special.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
this was a random pickup in Seattle when the mood for a dark wheat hit, but it was average in just about every possible way. the only thing that stood out a little was the slight tobacco aspect in the flavor, which was cool. a little too light and simple otherwise."

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub in Everett
Muddy brown color. Also the aroma and flavor are muddy, the wheat is not well defined, and there is a distinct character of stale water; very light banana aroma, mild spicy flavor; ordinary bitterness.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated from notes taken 7 Aug 2011 -- A marginal Dunkel, flavor was there, but watery. Would much prefer a more assertive profile.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a half finger of head on a dark brown, almost black body.
The aroma has some chocolate malt, and some burnt malt.
The taste starts with burnt malt, and dies out with some chocolate and mild sweet note. Short but good profile.
The texture is crisper with soft edges.
It tastes more like a black lager than a dunkelweizen. Either way it’s not bad.
