COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Blind Pig Dunkel Weizen

This is a medium-bodied, unfiltered dark wheat beer with a smooth, gently sweet character. The flavor has notes of chocolate and caramel combined with the cereal malt flavor contributed by malted wheat. Blind Pig is a very unique beer with few other examples of the German Dunkel Weizen style brewed in the Northwest, and certainly none as tasty.

My main thought is that this is pretty hoppy for a dunkelweizen. A nice appearance. A creamy head with a kick. Flavor is really quite good. Creamy and hoppy and not really wheat. Quite surprised and impressed.

Pours a deep reddish brown with a thick off white head. Nice roasted grain aroma with a hint of chocolate. Smooth malt body, hints of roasted grain, chocolate and wheat. While a good beer, I was looking a bit more from this, more yeast flavor would have been nice.

Great overall beer. Smooth pour with medium head. Was very surpassed at a 4.7 beer content. Loved it.

Dull brown in color with a minimal amount of foam. The aroma is dry and sweet. The flavor is mellow with a sweet milky aftertaste.

Brown ale-ish. Hazey brown, like apple cider. Bready and a bit like a brown ale.

An unbelievable style of beer, it is roasty and wheaty at the same time. It is filtered and dark brown in color. Taste is full of wheat and a hint of roasted malt

Pours dark brown with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of toasted malts. Rich taste of lots of malt again and a hint of berry. Very good and easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. Dark mahogany brown with a thick, sticky beige head. Mild aroma of dark wheat bread, caramel, and some spicy yeast. Smooth malty flavor, lots of dark bread and light caramel, very light hop bitterness and a light tartness at the end. Medium body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouth feel. Very nice Dunkel Weizen, smooth malty and easy drinking.

2010-06-29. Crisp brown body with a small beige head and lace. 3+ Flavour starts with a sharp bitterness that fades quickly, toasty malt in the base, tangy, lightly roasty/toasty malt finish. Mild toasty malt aroma. Average plus bodied palate. 3+ Okay, but where is the weizen? On tap at Fishbowl pub, Olympia
