COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Friesian Pilsener is a pale golden colored lager, brewed to quench the summer thirst of the many worthy denizens of the Great Pacific Northwest. This Pilsener is medium bodied, brewed with a truly authentic Pilsener malt and a large percentage of Munich malt to create a beer with the classic German Pilsener character. In the traditional method, we have brewed this Leavenworth Beer with imported German and Czech hops for a crisp, assertive hop bitterness and aroma.

Not your typical pilsner, more like a pale ale. It has a lot more hops than a pilsner which is why I like it I guess. The pilsner essence is up front with a lot of hops in the finish. Dry and refreshing.

Somewhat atypical for a pilsener with way too much of a pale ale touch to it.

Half pint on tap at Beveridge Place Pub. Aroma is tart, with a good deal of green apple. Light metallic, light biscuit. Fruitiness dominates. Transparent golden copper body with a small, weak white head present. Starts a little astringent and bitter. Almost some phenolic character in the middle. Finishes with herbal, metallic, and spicy hop character. I wonder if the lines are dirty?

Clear golden color, small white head, lace. Light citrusy aroma. Light-bodied. Crisp mouthfeel. Hoppy pilsner with grapefruity-citrusy flavor. Sweetish malty backbone. Nice!

Draught. Yellow pour with medium white head. Not much aroma, a thin grassiness, pleasant. Thin bodied. Tastes rather like Castle lager before they put maize in it. Not memorable

Nose is bready, cereal grainy, and lightly grassy. Pours golden with a frothy foamy head that lasts through the whole beer. Bready and cereal grain make up the malt profile with light grassy bitterness in the finish as well as a sharp clean peppery note that cleanses the palate. I love well made pilsner.

On tap at Belmont Station in Portland, OR--Poured a golden (slightly amber) body with a medium white head. Zesty, crisp and sessionable. Nothing special, but a great summer beer to kick back with. Mild bready quality that bites with Euro hops in the finish. Eh.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a malty slightly bready grainy aroma. Malty bready flavor wit hsome hoppy hints. Has a malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Tap at the Mont Lake Alehouse.

Pours a thin amber with little head. Nice fruity aroma (apple) and malt-forward, robust in its grains. Crisp hops never overpower those warm grains - this feels as if it’s pushing amber territory in some ways - but the beer has an enjoyable snap to the finish nonetheless, and certainly drinks smoothly.

Deep gold colour with light sparkle and a thin head. Herbal hop nose has a light grassiness and thin baguettey malts underpinning. Crisp, moderate bitterness with light caramel accent to the bready pale malts. Not bad, not bad. I like a pils to have a little more of either punch or nuance but this is perfectly acceptable. Draught, Anthony’s in SeaTac Airporterl
