Leavenworth Ingalls Extra Special Bitter(RETIRED) | ||||||||||||||
RATINGS: 7 MEAN: 3.23/5.0 WEIGHTED AVG: 3.14 EST. CALORIES: 176 ABV: 5.88%
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION This English-style Ale is medium-bodied, with a rich bronze color and truly authentic E.S.B. malt and hop character. The taste is long on malt flavor with hints of sweet caramel and toffee. This delicious ale also displays a wonderful balance between the yeast’s natural fruitiness and the hop’s fresh herbal quality. Captain Ingalls is known for having surveyed the Blewett Pass area in the Cascade Mountains. According to legend, he discovered a “Mother Load” gold vein and marked it for later mining, only to have an earthquake bury it forever. Some say you can still see the Captain wandering up there looking for his gold.
