COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Released in celebration of autumn’s arrival, Oktoberfest is a medium-bodied bier crafted in the Leavenworth tradition. This richly amber seasonal owes its smooth, malty flavor to a large percentage of Munich malt. In the classic German tradition, we add both noble Tettnanger and imported Tradition hops for an authentic Oktoberfest hop aroma.

Draft at elliott bay pizza. Pours a clear dark amber with bright edges. Dense creamy mousse on top. Gorgeous. Mild brown bread and leaves on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Brown bread, dried leaves, and roasted nuts on the mid palate. A little acetic at the end but otherwise quite good.

Sienna copper, fluffy tan head. Dry earthy aroma, smells like fall. Great full body, toasty backbone, piney balanced finish. Probably too strong on all fronts, but works very well for me.

Just had this on tap at Belmont Station in Portland, OR. Colour... kind of a rusty orange with a thick head. Nose... some malt, leafy hops and light citrus. Palate... mildly carbonated, tangy up front, grainy, rather plain, though not bad.

Tap... Poured a rust tone with a thick, off-white head. Aroma was mellow and floral with some malt. Flavorful and fresh with leafy, sweet hops and buttery barley-malt grains. Finished sweet with candy-like notes.

On tap at Belmont Station. Pours amber with a small white head. Malts were lightly toasty, toffee flavors and a fruity finish. Didn’t quite get earthy and malty enough for me. Felt more like an amber ale then a oktoberfest and the finish was a bit metalic.

Poured an orange-amber-bronzed color/ Small off-white head. Gummy floral notes coupled with malty sweetness. Caramel/toffee in the scent was characteristic of PNW meets Bavarian stylistic. Boo yah!

On tap at Lucky Labrador, Quimby St. Portland. Hazy copper colour with lasting white head. Pleasant peachy aroma, bit of bubblegum. Fullish in mouth, more bubblegum, then odd toffee and hop finish. bit over the top on the bubblegum.

Not like the traditional Octoberfest German type beer. Similar to Mack & Jack’s African Amber. Cloudy with a rich thick head that lasts forever. Abundant hop and malt flavor with a slightly dry finish.
