CapFlu (3254), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 27, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at Taphouse in Seattle. A rather expensive sampler at $9.95 for four 4-ounce samples. Cloudy gold. Nose is wheaty and tonic. Metallic flavour. Average at best. riversideAK (1562), Shoreline, Washington, USA Nov 27, 2007 This has long been my favorite NW American Wheat. It is nice and wheat with touches of sweetness and lemon. A little cereal wheat aroma and flavor. A little bit of yeast, but this does not come across as estery or fruity in any capacity. Good though. jcwattsrugger (3811), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 13, 2007 on tap-pours a thin white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is mild medium malt/grain, some medium fruit. Taste is musty medium malt/grain, some medium fruit-sweet, then slight spice hops bite. OK/mild carbonation. Cross of American wheat and hefe. BrewDad (1631), Olympia, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2007 Updated: Feb 21, 2008Brewed for Pints & Quarts in Olympia WA. A good Hefe with a hazy golden color. The wheat aroma was thick and the flavor was refershing and light. this was not an over the top Hefe but it was good never the less. Easy drinking with a nice finish. Oakes (6823), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2007 Golden-amber colour. Thick head even a lemon can’t kill. Ha ha! Screw you, lemon. Dry. Lightly toasty and husky...not much fruitiness if any. Very slight wheat character. Surprisingly dull given the original German inspiration behind this beer. Competent but boring.
