Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2007 Golden-amber colour. Thick head even a lemon can’t kill. Ha ha! Screw you, lemon. Dry. Lightly toasty and husky...not much fruitiness if any. Very slight wheat character. Surprisingly dull given the original German inspiration behind this beer. Competent but boring. argo0 (6289), Washington DC, USA Jul 25, 2004 (draft) Cloudy amber body with off-white head. Aroma is mild sweet, wheat, lemon, some clove, light banana. Taste is mild sweet, wheat, light banana. Light-medium body. Not strong flavor, but very nice drinkable beer nonetheless. The aroma is very citrusy and tart with some light wheat and bright grapefruity hops. The flavor is moderately hoppy, very up front with some starchy wheat tanging up the finish. Lots of citrus & clean balanced tail notes. Way too hoppy for the style but I liked it and I can rate it however I want! jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 13, 2007 on tap-pours a thin white head and cloudy yellow color.
