marcus (1119), Sacramento, California, USA Mar 27, 2005 This light golden ale pours with a very short white head, with considerable sediment throughout the pour. The flavor is pleasantly malty. A very nice brew. Bradrcr (631), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 27, 2007 9/19/07 From the bottle. Aroma is fruity malt forward, then biscuity, woody, with light phenols and caramel, with no hop notes. Appearance is Gold, clear, with a medium off-white head. Flavor is grainy, munich maltiness forward with a solid medium bittering balance. There is a strong hard water note that extends into the finish and no hop character, and this remains a very clean flavor. Mouthfeel is grainy, metallic, medium bodied, with medium/high carb feel and light warmth. Overall, this is very good with a nice complexity. Ernest (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle (BB 09/08). Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately yeasty (barnyard, basement), with notes of wood, autumn leaves, and dried fruit. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. A great, rustic, farmy de-garde/saison style brew. jazz88 (2209), San Francisco, California, USA Jul 19, 2004 Bottle.
