2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2012
Can, from an ethnic foodstore in Scunthorpe. Gold, fluffy but shortlived white head and gentle condition. Low malt in the nose with some slight mineral notes and a touch of stale hops, quite clean and unassuming in the mouth with a steely dryness and a little peppery spiciness from the hops, lingering dry finish with restrained by persistent bitterness
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 kevnic2008 (1790) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - APR 25, 2012
Pours a pale straw with very limited head. Aroma is lightly lemony, with some malt graininess. Clean, crisp but a touch thin.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 erickok (1086) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2012
Yellow fizzy and firm white head looks. Light malty, dimmed but fresh hop character. Very drinkable, enough flavour. Very nice pilsner again from Poland. Dutch brewers can learn from this! (50cl can)
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kuba (12) - POLAND - MAR 25, 2012
Little bit alcoholic, bready. Clear golden color and minimal head. Heavy biterness and abrupt finish.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 maeib (6647) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAR 24, 2012
Canned. A fairly anaemic gold coloured beer with a whitish head. A sweet chemically nose. Sweet and buttery flavours in the mouth. A lager snatch. Reasonably friendly euro lager with a decent body. It’s OK.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2012
Can from a Polski shop in Cov. Clear gold, unfizzing, with a tall bloom of suds diminishing fast. Soapy, slightly lemony aroma. Bready, soap and almond notes with an ale-like wet dough, cashew and vanilla linger. A clashing, paracetamol bitterness that lets it down. Still, not bad.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 4, 2012
Many years after I spotted it in POznan I have the chance to dirnk it. It was nice, creamy and a little bit acloholic but nothing special not the best style for Polish brewers.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 AshtonMcCobb (937) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 12, 2012
Bottle at Carter’s Bar, Edinburgh. Pours light golden with a thin head which disappears after a while. The nose is a bit elusive but there isn’t much malt, maybe more gentle citrus. The taste is thin and citrus on the end. The palate is actually good as although it is thin and close to water in texture it does deliver refreshment on the end and is therefore very drinkable. Overall, there are worse pints of pissy lager out there, that’s for sure!
0.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 txspartan (668) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - OCT 30, 2011
Metallic nose, head disappears quickly, some bitterness, watery texture, metallic aftertaste.
