UPDATED: NOV 20, 2006 A lot of my friends take it as an ideal of beer. Maybe because my friends know nothing about beer. Light in colour and taste. It tastes like an aromatized beer which I don’t like. It is like pop music. A little bit watery.

Soapy, vaguely skunky hops in the nose. Clear, crisp and golden with some not displeasing grassiness. Maybe a hint of biscuity malt after the swallow. Nicely rounded, mildly plisener-ish bitterness at the end. Quite a silky mouthfeel for the style. Actually quite enjoyed this, and would happily drink it again.

Light golden in colour, long lasting white coloured head, great lacing. The aroma is light and watery, grainy, some wheat, very light floral hops. The flavour is fairly bland, lightly bitter grassy hops, wheat. Watery mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a light bitterness, pretty quick. Boring all-round, very simple.

Yellow colored, little white head. Mildly hopped and estery aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also basic Polish lager: sweetness, crispy carbonation and mild hops, even mild alcohol in aftertaste.

Corn nose, pale yellow, finger of white foam, some lace. Taste is corn, rice a bit of malt. Thin. Uninspired.

Can (500ml). Because you just know a Premium Lager’s gotta be great ... Oily, clear, bright light gold with a large fizzy white head. Smells like all the rest - dry, vaguely honeyish, grainy, at least no metal or corn - ehh. The taste is also grain-sweet, very mild, soft mild hops - goes down easy. Slightly slick mouthfeel, somewhat weak bodied, a tiny hint of astringency - decent, would trail several of these in the lake behind the fishing boat with no problem.

500ml Can, 5.2% a/v Crisp gold colour with a large white head. Well carbonated as well. The smell is citrus with some hoppy undertones. The taste is dry and really not of much. The usual beer taste is the best way to describe it. Incredible average.

Polish Can: A dry and boring polish pilsner. The smell is really indistinct, but maybe there is a little bit of sweetness from the malts, and some alcohol. The only taste this beer has is a bitter hopping, and some acridness from the alcohol. The aftertaste is luckily a little different by being sourish, but the alcohol-taste and the bad hopping returns and ruins the beer. It reminds very much of the danish beer "Slots Pilsner", but with a little more taste of alcohol.

Can from LCBO. Pours a pale, bright yellow-gold with large white head that disappears pretty quickly. Aroma holds soft herbal hops and a bready maltiness - quite nice, really. Flavour is fairly sweet off the top, with lemon cookie notes in the middle, and a good balance of herbal, grassy hops and biscuity malt in the finish. Sure, it’s not an exciting style, but as far as Eastern European lagers go, this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Can - 500ml. Boring piss-like yellow body with average carbonation and a thick white foamy head. Decent hoppy aroma with bready and grassy notes. Taste is fairly balanced but lacks complexity. Ends with a short bitter finish. Average Polish Lager.
