Had on tap in a Krakow club, was hoping it would be better Zywiec but instead it was even more bland. Pale lager look with a skunky taste and meh finish

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Skunky corn aroma and a hint of hops. Appearance is golden yellow with medium frothy white head and lots of carbonation. Light plain taste is unspecial but easy to drink. Overall, not an amazing beer, but would definately drink it again.

Bottle from local indian off licence. Standard pils appearence. Malty in a sugary way with little balancing hops. Fair body. The least I’ve enjoyed a polish beer though.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2008 500 ml bottle from Walt’s grocery, Homewood, IL. BB: 11.22.08. I have some hope for Polish beers, being as Chicago has the world’s second most Poles after Warsaw, or something like that. The hope is that mainly enough Polish import gets sold that what I find is reasonably fresh. But this one was in a green bomber bottle under florescent lights. SKUNKED!!! My wife thought another skunk has burrowing under our porch. It pours just fine, though, a pale yellow with some depth under a fluffy white that respectably fades down. Taste shows a little malt and some dry finish with sharp hop bitterness (a "dryness" I associate with Polish lager, right or not). But also something of burnt rubber. It’s all stuff I’ve run into before, but not in this unappealing a combination. And interesting how the labeling tries to look very much like "Beck’s"
