3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
In Dinkelbuhl, Germany. Draft. Poured golden clear with a big, clean white head. Nice clean hoppy aroma and taste. Nothing fancy but very refreshing. Shows you do not need to do anything fancy to make a decent beer.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dang, spending a lot of time in Germany can be ruinous for a beer drinker who is used to having a large variety of styles. It’s just one forgettable pilsener/pale lager after another. This one is about the same as all the rest. Hoppy, grassy aroma, schockingly little flavor and a bitter, bitter finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very pale buttery gold colour. Definite grassy hop aroma, but not that fresh. Reasonable balance of malt and hops in the flavour. Very dry, becoming positively arid on the finish. A decent, refreshing, if uninspiring, pilsner. 500ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. BBE 18 November 2004.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Victim of the German way of tapping a beer. This pilsener hasn’t passed away, but is still in a coma. Low on carbon, but the head is great, you can cut it with a knife. The last remains of a hoparoma, floowed by a slightly hoppy, malty flavor. Also fresh from tap it would be a mediocre pilsener.
