1.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 BVery (4257) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 10, 2011Bottle. Nice dark semi thick pour with a nice brown head. Smells slightly like chocolate and.....why is this smelling sour? First taste.....AAHHH, my asshole is puckering! WTF? Straight vinegar and sour. From the other ratings on here I’m guessing something was wrong with this bomber.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 n00bface (137) - Minneapolis, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Bottle from South Lyndale Liquors (Minneapolis, Minnesota, 21/1/12)
Some roasted malt, but not much in the aroma. Dark brown with almost know head whatsoever. The palate somewhat confirms: light bodied, thin texture, and a very flat carbonation. Taste is almost totally tart. Bottle is definitely infected. Still, it wasn’t a terrible infection....
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BillHick420 (302) - North Dakota, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Pours black with brown head. Thin mouthfeel with hints chocolate and coffee. Overall decent, but minus for not being thick enough, and the aromas could be more robust.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 WisconsinBeer (686) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle. Deep brown/black color. Minimal head. Taste is.....apple cider vinegar. Something is very wrong with this beer, this tastes nothing like a porter. Infected? Will try to re-rate at some point, but for now this one has issues.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bluemooner (554) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is basically roasted malt and smoke. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, and resin. Light body with medium carbonation. Not a great porter.

some dark roasted notes on the nose. More of the same with some chocolate covered cherries as well. Interesting porter. I enjoyed it, although it could have been more flavor intensive...just a bit too watery for me.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 northropfrye (1352) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 25, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 An odd porter. Dark brown with brown head - attractive beer. Sweet aroma. But the taste is strangely sour, a little sweet. Having read other reviews I wonder if there was something off with this beer. The label description doesn’t say anything about being sour, either, and it’s not normally a characteristic of a porter. Unfortunate. It looked nice, and was still drinkable. I’d like to try a better bottle, though.

This is one of the worst porters I have had. lack of decent flavor, lack of decent everything.
1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Atom (997) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Bomber pours dark brown black with basically no head, some tan bubbles. Roasted sour notes? Uhm infected? Taste like sour ashes, yeah this bottle wasn’t right.

Had on tap at Chase in Walker, at the brewery, and in bottles. I enjoyed this porter. Rich with flavors.
