Cask at The Old Bell, Harrogate. Pours a clear deep orange with a small lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma’s quite buttery (diacetyl) along with light hops. Flavour’s malty along with a decent amount of hops, only slightly buttery, and with a mild, short bitter finish. Medium bodied. It’s alright, an O.K. Bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival on 10 February 2011. Amber colour. Soft and rather sweet. Distinctly mellow and easy-drinking. Some late bitterness but I still found it a low on bite for my taste - I’d have preferred a more assertive hop presence. Perfectly competent though, just not really my favoured style of bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 13/08/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Butterscotch and Red fruit aroma. Very sweet flavour with plenty of diacetyl, and short bitter finish. I was grateful that it was only half a pint.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2011 Cask conditioned handpump Southwark Tavern Borough Market. An amber coloured beer with a thin whitish head. A fairly sweet fruity beer with a nice jammy nose. Decent fruity hops in the mouth. Perhaps a touch too sweet but pretty drinkable. Score 3.4

Half, cask at The Brewery Tap. Clear, copper coloured body. Aroma of leafy hops and sweet malts. Fresh taste of hop resin, caramel malts with the support of bitter berries (Leeds, 10.07.2010).
