UPDATED: SEP 18, 2013 Bottle. (September 2012). Amber body. Thin white head. Fruity, biscuity, hoppy. Marris Otter? Bitter. Dry finish. Standard bitter. If someone said, "give me a standard, quality Yorkshire session bitter", I’d probably suggest this 636312 ##### Bottle. (September 2013). Thin white head, with excellent retention. Gold to amber body. Nose is hops and malt, grass, spice, fruit. Boiled sweets (seems a bit overly pasteurised). Reminds me of a Badger ale. Tiny whiff of sulphur in the background. Bitter. Dry finish. Watery palate. 636212

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a dark golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of toffee and caramel with similar flavours. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Cask at The Old Bell, Harrogate. Pours a clear deep orange with a small lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma’s quite buttery (diacetyl) along with light hops. Flavour’s malty along with a decent amount of hops, only slightly buttery, and with a mild, short bitter finish. Medium bodied. It’s alright, an O.K. Bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival on 10 February 2011. Amber colour. Soft and rather sweet. Distinctly mellow and easy-drinking. Some late bitterness but I still found it a low on bite for my taste - I’d have preferred a more assertive hop presence. Perfectly competent though, just not really my favoured style of bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 13/08/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Butterscotch and Red fruit aroma. Very sweet flavour with plenty of diacetyl, and short bitter finish. I was grateful that it was only half a pint.
