Cask handpull, The Brewery Tap, Leeds, 19/04/11- served with a little side dish of hops by the very informative bar staff. Pale and misted with a slim halo. Immediately more resin, woodsiness and pepper than the other 3 ’So1o’ beers; fresher but still buttered raffia and polished table aroma. More freshness and exoticism than from the US/Japanese hops, which I didn’t expect; pepper and grapefruit streaks, soft cashew malt to balance. The pick of the ’So1o’ range so far.

Cask, 15/4/11, Leeds Brewery, UK. Pale gold, bright floral aroma with cereal. Sweet and bready, more fruit on the finish.
