COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal, Summer;
A classic IPA. Befitting the tradition, a larger hop charge than any other recipe gives a pleasant hoppiness not often found in beers of this strength.

Hand pulled at the Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. Cloudy amber, thick heading. Smells like toffee - uh oh. Tastes like a standard, mediocre, toffee malt bitter. Particularly sweet on the finish. Some rainwater in subsequent swigs, which is a small mercy. Massive disappointment. Why is this included in an IPA festival?

Cask at Elephant and Castle, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Pleasant aroma of biscuity malts, crackers, and a bit of grass. Nice flavor, decent balance, medium sweet, subtle dough and toast, grass, flowers. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sticky hop finish, some crispy malts, and a surprisingly long, dandelion and grass bitterness. Decent beer.

Cask @ Curlers Rest. Perhaps this is a new beer as it was 4.8% and a bitter rather than golden ale. Vegetable malt aroma. Amber brown colour, reasonable head. Caramel fagash & malt flavour. Bitter fruity aftertaste. A reasonable bitter.

Either a bottle at home or cask at peterborough or cask at the market porter. Alround rating: Pale honey sweet malts, bitter hops, floural sweetness, honey is key.
