Bottle Conditioned. BBE Dec 04. A goldy yellow colour rather than the red I was expecting. Rhubarb aroma with an unfortunate touch of damp cardboard. Little in the way of flavour, though I can detect the cherry notes along with an earthy bitterness typical of British hops. Subtle and delicate is I suppose one way of describing this. A pleasant summer drink.

Hazy gold beer. Strong nose of bubblegum - Bazooka Joe! Palate is crispish but also manages to be watery. Tastes of bubblegum and not much else apart from insipid cherry. Finishes dry with the bubblegum still going. Fine if you like Bazooka Joe Cherry - otherwise a bit of a mess.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2011 BC (as ’Leek Cherry’) from Fosse Asda. Pale and dusted with a slim white halo. Aroma of banana-flavoured yoghurt, Wham bar, slight cow dung at first, but that soon disperses. Flavour bright, odd, yeasty and slightly grassy with hints of cheese, Wham bar and a dominant banana and custard note. Long, creamy wheat afters with a snort of seawater. Nothing like as bad as expected; more banana than cherry-flavoured and actually quite an enjoyable accompaniment to some late night spicy stir fry.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy bronze appearance with a thin body.Cherry flavours merge with a basic bitternes. Slight traces of sulphur. Is this a fruit beer or a bitter? Either way it wasn’t very impressive.

Bottle @ home, bought in Manchester. Pale golden color. Cherry and chewing chewing gum in the aroma. Thin. Soft cherry flavor with cellar and yeasty notes. Dry. The cherry fruit seems restricted to the background. Some earthy flowery notes.

Bottle @ Angel, Manchester.
Pours hazy golden with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, lots of marzipan and sweet, sugary cherry. Prickly carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour has cherries, mostly sweet, but there is an okay dryness in there. A touch of caramel and bready malts.

Bottle thanks to rene on the train back from manchester to sheffield. Alround rating: Cheery stones, sweet pale malts, bit yeasty, but generally very fruity and inoffensive.
