BC. Peach with a veil of bits and a fine collapsing white collar. Gust of pineapple jelly, lemon Refreshers and dry roasted aroma: magnificent. Mouth ashtray, Alka Seltzer, ’homemade’ lemonade, lime, pineapple and floral hop, soap, Custard Creams, Monster Munch...Bit heavy on the fizz and ashtray, but quality enough to have me thirsting for the cask version..

Brown 500ml bottle, best before end of Sept 2009, drank early July 2009. Poured into a standard pint sleeve glass. It was a bottle conditioned beer, so I poured it very slowly and carefully to allow the sediment to stay in the bottle. Because of the pour no head sat on top of the dull amber, dirty old gold coloured body of the beer, it was however far from flat, plenty of bubbles rising upwards told me that. A very slight haze might have been caused by over cooling or the fact both barley and wheat are used in the brew. This is suitable for veggies and vegans, so no normal finnings in the beer, another reason why there was a haze? Next to no aroma, the beer might have been a bit too cold at first, but only a hoppy, yeasty smell arrived even as the beer warmed. Average hop flavour for a UK brewed IPA, some earthy, grassy tastes too, a little spritzy and tangy, a peppery feel to it as well. Strange brew, couldn’t make my mine up if I really liked it or not.

foxo82 (168) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2012 Bottle. Looks terrific - pours a lovely, hazy, dark amber which looks like it should posses a stronger aroma than its light, mildly hoppy fragrance. Taste includes initial pleasant hints of caramel but lacks the killer aftertaste its appearance promises. It has a medium bitter finish but is perhaps a little too watery, which is a shame and a bit of an anti-climax.

Bottled. A flat golden beer. Sour and apply throughout. Badly brewed and or bottled. Some peach notes in the nose. Really not nice. Is this not a common problem with Leek bottles?

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Golden pour with a lively white head. Aroma had some fragrant hops , yeast, and citrus notes. Slightly watery palate. Gentle flavour that displayed the same traits as the aroma. Some bitterness in the finish. A nice guzzler to acconpany some spicy fried chicken and rice. Inoffensive on the whole

Bottle from Bitter Virtue. Gentle citrussy hops and sweet malts lending a marmaladey sweetness to the orange of the hops. Just a touch more hop would bring out the best in this.

Bottle conditioned. Hazy pale golden with floaties and a slim, broken, white head. Visibly highly carbonated. Fresh fruity aromatic hop aroma. Lots of hops and citrus in the taste, some wheat and yeast, with a hoppy bitter finish. Spritzy mouthfeel. Thirst queching and drinkable.

Bottle SH Jones, Bicester, 15-04-06 pale gold with a decent white head a pretty decent IPA with good levels of bitterness, bit yeasty if you pour it as clumsily as I did but fortunately I had had much of it before topping up.
