A Mes rate: Bottle from the Bottle Shop in Bramhall. Glorious opaque dark dark brown with an amazing dark tan head that spilled out of the glass and took a long long time to settle. Dark burnt malt aroma with toasted marshmallows and a very slight note of germoline. Lovely stuff. Rubbery malt and burnt brown sugar flavour with a good dollop of dark chocolate for good measure. Inky and oily finish that is just a little on the sticky side. Alcohol is hidden very well. Drinkable and enjoyable. Tasty drop if you ask me.

(50 cl bottle, thanks Pelle from The Rover!) On the label it’s mentioned "A strong stout" and also that it is 6% ABV. Black color, big fluffy tan head. Sweet malty and nice hoppy scent. Chocolate and coffee, malty and roasted taste, also hops. Medium mouthfeel, also medium bitterness. Long roasted aftertaste.

Bottle conditioned. Black with no head. Aromas are earthy, sweet malts with coffee, peat and some dark berries. Flavours has the earthiness of the aroma with roast coffee and licourice. Has more fruit coming through with quite an amount of sourness. Its tastes fairly "old". Dry and bitter on the finish. Its well hopped and not aggressive with the alcohol.
