Bottle that dad bought along this week having purchased from a bottle shop in Belper, consumed 10-04-08 Ligvht golden in colour with a bubbly white head. Some malt on the nose, even a bit corny and pilsner like? Soft carbonation in the mouth, some hops and nice soft maltiness, good bite to this its actually ok.

Bottle. Lively upon opening. Slightly cloudy with some bitterness. The explosion on opening didn’t help the initial impression which didn’t improve on drinking. Poor.

Pale coloured lager, with a little sour nose, light flavour and not unpleasent sour notes

Cask (gravity) at the Derby CAMRA summer festival 2005. Billed as ’Leekenbrau’. Light gold, hop nose, fresh hoppy flavours, snappy finish. The sourness that others have found sounds like the all-too-familiar Leek bottling effect.

Bottle conditioned from Open All Hours, Keswick. ’Leekenbrau’. Slightly cloudy yellow, sparkling. Something funky about the aroma with citrus hop. Sourness also in taste, not sure if its deliberate but its not unpleasant, just different. Finish hoppy and sour.
