johndoughty (1692), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Jan 4, 2008 Bottle .Cloudy with lots of sediment. Exploded out of the bottle meaning that half its contents were lost. Not a bad thing as this was awful.Have another bottle in storage to reassess. If this one is anything to go by its not something to look forward to. Gold no head, not as gingery as I expected or had hoped for, but quite dry and bitter, girlfriend knocked half of this over so didn’y get too enjoy this as fully as I expected, not bad but not great either. Plenty of ginger this time compared to last time I’d had but it was more ginger powder than root ginger, little bit dry, it seems they’ve tweaked and improved this one a little. Caramel malts also peek through along with some citrus. Flavours are dry ginger with yeast, citrus and a bitter finish. Less complex than the aroma. Pretty decent.
