2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (2353) - Shropshire, - APR 16, 2012Brown 33cl bottle obtained while staying in the town where it is brewed. Best before 2nd March 2011, reviewed during a ’Lager/Pilsner reviewing evening’ 23rd Oct 2010.
Poured into a ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ stemmed tulip. Typical Euro Pilsner look, golden, clear, bright and clean. Snowy white head on top, which produced some good lacing.
Hay, straw aroma, not the best ’non-smelling’ pilsner/lager my nose has tested!
Dry, almost hoppy feel to the taste, refreshing and a bit different to most of the major players in Holland (Grolsch, Heineken, Bavaria, etc).
I liked it.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Koelschtrinker (8481) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
