Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

33cl bottle. Hazy pale yellow colour with a frothy white head. Citrus, yeast and coriander in the aroma. Average carbonation and light body. Taste is light, a bit watery wit beer. Overall, refreshing and drinkable but not remarkable.

Pours pale yellow, unclear with soapy, medium high top, diminish fast in thin layer. Aroma- weak, sweet malty, a bit citrusy, grapefruity, not like typical wit. More like thick, sweet malty wheat beer. Palate- little tickling, sparkling on tongue, above medium bodied; nice, easy drinkable, light flavored beer.

Appearance is pale straw yellow, with slight haze and a thick, frothy white foam cap. Aroma: Strong lemon and coriander, with a bit of orange peel. No noticeable malt or hop aroma. Taste: Light doughy, cracker malt, with tart orange peel. Coriander spice hits on the backe end with a light bitterness to balance. Mouthfeel: Light, a bit thin, with moderate carbonation. Finish: Dry, with a lingering coriander and orange peel. Overall: A very crisp an refreshing Belgian wit, with a lighter body and flavor intensity than other examples like Hoegaarden

On tap at Bier en Cultuur in Ipanema, Rio die Janeiro. Golden colored and hazy with a medium white forthy-rocky head. The aroma is dominated by citrus and orange peel with some wheat notes. Taste is light sour with citrus and wheat flavor. Light body with fizzy carbonation and low alcohol makes it refreshing and süffig.

High quality wit with a distinct lemony acidity that is quite pleasant. Nicely balanced flavors of citrus, wheat and a little banana. Very refreshing.
