COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Bottle, 750ml. A cloudy golden beer with a minimal white head. Citric aroma with Belgian yeast and wheat. Taste is mild sweet with some carbonation and astringency. Light bodied with a citric but somewhat simple finish. It doesn’t have a strong character, but it is easy to drink.

Poured from 16oz can at George street pub. Looks like Mountain Dew. Ripe fruit and unpleasant aroma. Taste is a little tart and skunky - might be older. Not good. Dank fruits

16 oz can

Pours a lemonade color, could say it’s white. Cloudy, bubbly, lots of sediment. About two fingers soapy white head. Okay lacing, okay retention.

Aroma is a little bready, a little lemon peel, some coriander. Also, a little white grape juice. Very light, very fresh smelling. Nothing heavy.

Taste very fresh. Not real heavy on flavor, very light, but very tasty. Tastes wheaty, and little citrus comes through. It’s more sweet than biiter, and barely bitter if at all.. I still taste the white grape. There’s not a lot to describe, but it’s delicious.

Mouthfeel is super light. Almost champagne like. Super sessionable. Oh man, talk about a great summer mertime refreshment.

Overall, I’m surprised by this. It’s very good. Not much more to say. It’s not super flavorful, but it’s smooth and easy drinking. Everything comes together for a good brew

Overally good witbier. I am a fan of wheat beers, so I tend to overscore them a bit but I enjoyed that one.
