Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

This is pretty good but a little light and almost too soft, making it a bit tiresome by the end. It is cloudy light gold with a huge white head that is dense and mashmallowy, decreasing to a smaller lasting head that leaves some weak, foamy lacing. The aroma is grain, esp. wheat, hints of straw, yeast, sweet cider. The taste is definitely a witbier. It is sweet at first transitioning to a drier finish. It has definite banana quality, hints pf spices, then a grain finish and lingering aftertaste, a very soft, creamy body.

33cL bottle as Blanche De Bruxelles. Aroma is nearly perfumey lemon. Very pale gold color with a good white head. Near medium in body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. Mild flavors of lemon, coriander and wheat. Maybe it could be orange oil. The finish is mild, not quite dry, and lightly citrus and wheat. Leaves a slight tingle. Very pleasant.
