Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Bottle, 33cl. It looks nice, with a milky-white, yellow pour with a medium-sized white head. Quite citrusy nose with a little touch of spices and pale malt. A weak sour touch too. Nice, citrusy flavor with a little spicyness and malts. The spices is quite subdued in both aroma and flavor, but it shows more of itselves after a while. Quite thin body, but not too thin, rather pleasant to drink. The finish has a pleasant bitterness in addition to the initial flavors. A nice, quaffable beer, well suited for thirst-quenching in the summer. (080211)

12 oz. bottle poured into tumbler- poured slightly cloudy thin yellow, huge white head slowly whisped away, aroma of yeast, malt, and various light citrus. Hits the mouth with a thin-medium body, can detect a bit of raw yeast, some citrus, finish is clean but very short.

Bottle. The pour is a bit more uniform than most witbiers, as in even after the sediment is added there isn’t any difference of appearance. The aroma starts oof in the glass as a mild grapefruit or kiwi and turns within a few gulps into a balsamic and olive oil tone and by end of pint a honey lavendar. Flavor is not as intense as the nose which is a let down- reminds me of lemon or orange water. As with the flaver the body was very thin and the finish was short.

I didn’t really like this beer, but I haven’t really tasted anything quite like it before. Very floral, with a strong taste of lavender. A nice, light beer, but I couldn’t drink very much of this... On tap at the Flying Saucer.

Appearance of white grapefruit juice; small head. Aroma of wheat, fruit and honey. Light body and head with additional flavors of starfruit, orange, wheat, light spice. Easy drinking.

This is pretty good but a little light and almost too soft, making it a bit tiresome by the end. It is cloudy light gold with a huge white head that is dense and mashmallowy, decreasing to a smaller lasting head that leaves some weak, foamy lacing. The aroma is grain, esp. wheat, hints of straw, yeast, sweet cider. The taste is definitely a witbier. It is sweet at first transitioning to a drier finish. It has definite banana quality, hints pf spices, then a grain finish and lingering aftertaste, a very soft, creamy body.

Aroma is fresh and light with lemon. Pours a very clear, very light yellow color into the glass with a large pure white head. Flavor is light, citrusy, and yeasty. 11.2 oz. bottle.

Very soft aroma with lemon notes. Cream turbid colour. Very soft and fresh flavor. Strongly recommended with salads. I knew Blanche de Bruxelles

33cL bottle as Blanche De Bruxelles. Aroma is nearly perfumey lemon. Very pale gold color with a good white head. Near medium in body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. Mild flavors of lemon, coriander and wheat. Maybe it could be orange oil. The finish is mild, not quite dry, and lightly citrus and wheat. Leaves a slight tingle. Very pleasant.
