Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Bottle pours a milky yellow with a tall white fluffy head. Yeast, corriander, wheat, and orange in the nose. Lemon yeast fairly creamy flavors. Finishes dry with corriander and bread. Not my favorite style, but a decent wit.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale golden with a two finger white head that lasts leaving good lacing. Aroma of wheat, light citrus, and light coriander. Taste is the same as aroma with a very light tartness. Thin mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. An easy drinking Wit.

Small bottle: poured cloudy lemon milky white gold with white bubbles, sweet fragrance with orange, faint vanilla, wheat aroma with sour and spice fragrances, some pear apple fruit aromas, citrus tart flavor on the tongue with a belgian wheat ale flavor, low to medium carbonation, I think this beer could have used more to liven it up, the mouth feel was watery, dry on the palate.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2008 Coloração amarela turva. Notas cítricas, possivelmente laranja. Refrescante. Poderia ter um sabor um pouco mais forte, já que é suave demais.

Very pretty hazy yellow color with a fluffy white head. Aroma has some honey, coriander, and lemon zest. Citrusy flavor with a sweet finish. Very light but good for the style and a fine lawnmower beer.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2007 Decent-looking beer. Both nose and tongue are dominated by coriander and spicebox. This brew stood out to me for its long finish, which let the fruit of the beer show through the heavy spicing. Certainly a unique and well-crafted beer.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a cloudy yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus and a light hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, orange, lemon and a light hint of spice with a smooth lightly sweet fruitty finish.

Cloudy pale appearance with a light white head. Very pronounced citrus undertones in palllate. Great refreshing summer brew....
