COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Pours a nice hazy white/straw with a good, fluffy head. Smells yeasty with coriander and spice. There are nice notes of citrus, yeast, wheat, and coriander. It tastes like a better version of Hoegaarden. Not bad. Not my thing, but not bad.

0,33 bottle at Exit bar in Peje/Peć Kosovo, proper glass. Pours pale and hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Nose: spices blast, pepper and light lemony. Mouth: soft grainy, coriander, light bitter end but watery and a bit boring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

High quality wit with a distinct lemony acidity that is quite pleasant. Nicely balanced flavors of citrus, wheat and a little banana. Very refreshing.

330ml bottle - A warm, sunny weekend in California is a great time for any beer, and it’s a great time for a nice witbier. Slightly better than middle of the road, this brought some refreshing citrus aroma, lightly doughy with a touch of hefeweizen-ish banana poking it’s head out. Flavor has a nice amount of lemony freshness about it, medium sweet malts with a light spicy/peppery/coriander combo that accentuated the lemon notes. Really enjoyed it.

Pours slightly hazy, pale straw with a short finger of loose white head quickly diminishing to a thin skim and minimal lacing. Nose is banana, bubblegum, coriander, citrus, floral hops. Taste is similar, with a little peppercorn. Light body, low sustained carbonation, and an off-dry, slightly spicy bitter finish. Pretty middle-of-the-road wit. Definite Belgian character, but fairly muted and bland. Bought it in a Brasserie Lefebvre variety 8-pack (1/2 Mètre de Bière) that was probably not worth the price at almost $42 plus tax and deposit. Seven more to go...

Cloudy pale yellow. Thin white duke, errr foam. Light dusty scent. Flavour a bit of everything it should be without jumping off the bench and into the starting lineup. Light chalkiness, lemon, yeast.
