Time and time again the designation of Belgian Witte has bitten me on the arse. I expect something cloudy, lemon yellow and fluffy and get something golden, full of sediment, lacking in head and as out of place as the proverbial giraffe trying to get into a polar bears only golf club. A satisfying pfffst! and a pour reveal I am not disappointed at this beer fits all of the above criteria. It carries on that lovely aromatic lemon and coriander theme. Sharpish, but full of charm. It is a cheeky niece-like beer. Perfumy and floral with hibiscus and daphne. A mouthful reveals soft, fluffy sweetness. Unchallenging and quenching with flowers, lemon peel and soft sherbet. This is a beer for after lunch or as a sneaky afternoon indulgence. Not a serious connoisseur’s "I’m getting passionfruit, carpet cleaner and Tibetan monk’s cassock" beer. It is one I would have difficulty in stopping drinking and that’s all you can ask.

After just drinking a nother witbier before this, this brew tastes much fresher. Had out of a can, so maybe it’s just better preserved. Fantastic aroma directly when poured of honey, bananas, wheat, and spice. Cloudy pale straw color. Medium low body with moderately low carbonation. Flavors of yeast, wheat, and light fruit dominate. Wet palate that finishes kind of musty with esters and corn adjunct flavors.

I had this at Flying Saucer. Pours hazy light yellow with a white head. Taste citrus, light, grassy. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

12 oz bottle into a tulip. pours a hazy yellow, with a moderate white head which fades quickly. Minimal lacing. Nose is citrus and a faint whiff of spice. Taste is watery citrus-not much flavor here. Weak, even for a Belgian wit. Wouldn’t buy this again.

Yup, it’s the beer with the boy pissing on the label. Anyways, we sold this back in the BW days. It’s a decent but kinda weak Belgy Wit.

Tap at Bulldog NE in the Blanche labeled glass. Can we all agree to make them stop using this glass? Just an awful way to drink beer. Super pale yellow (pee yellow). Cookie cutter representation on a white ale. A little but of an effervescent finish. Definitely wheaty. Somewhat refreshing but not unique in flavor. Definitely better witbier options.

Tap at Earl of Essex. Pours a hazy straw colour with a white head. Aroma has lemon, wheat with a bready sweetness. Light body, medium to full carbonation. A slightly perfumy sweetness, a hint of herbs, lemon, a bit of bubblegum. Nice.

Pint can to pint glass
A - Pours a cloudy yellow with 1 finger of white foamy head. Average lacing.
S - Stone fruit, floral and grassy hops, wheat, lemons, white pepper, light banana
T - Same as the nose, lots of grainy wheat, lemons, peaches, bananas, soft peppery yeast adds some heft. Finishes mildy spicy, slightly acidic, and fruity.
M - Soft medium body, moderate creamy carbonation.
Had this after mowing the lawn. It hit the spot on a nice spring day. Light and refreshing with good fruit flavor.
