A blonde ale with a thick white head. Gusheed out of the bottle. Aroma is sweet bubble gum, very fruity and perfumey. In mouth, a good sweet malt with the same fruity esters, notes of maple, and light hopping. Refreshing. Bottle from SAQ.

(Bottle, BB 28/02/2008) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of cereal, mustiness, sweet fruit, and toasty malts. Flavor of coriander, light citrus, and some butterscotch.

A very average belgian blonde. Best attributes are it’s floral perfumey aroma, and the beautiful burnished gold with pillowy whiteheaded appearance. The falvour is spoiled by unsubtle sweetness, and lack of balance, though there’s a nice lingering bitterness in the finish which redeems it somewhat.

Bottle. Fresh and moderate yeasty smell with a hint of banana. A cloudy yellow body without any particles. The head is average large and creamy and is fully lasting - nice. Light sour and astringent flavour but not as strong as the Grimbergen Triple. On the palate the beer has a creamy texture with a medium body and only soft carbonation. Not as nice as the Prima Melior but a good one.

Draught, poured more a light amber for me with a large foamy white head. The aroma is yeasty with a subtle fruit aroma. I found the palate to be a little astringent, but creamy and fruity. The levels of hops and bitterness did work well.

[On tap at Den tatoverede Enke in 2004 with Jan.] One of my early favorites, first time as a present from Jens at "Den blå Øl" in Odense. Notes of yeast, citrusfruits and some spices. Nice on tap, on bottle less impressive!

Bottle. Pours clear deep golden with a huge fairly lasting head. Sweet good toasty maltiness in the aroma with spices. The flavour is sweet and malty with a nice spiciness, caramel and some hops.

On draft at Au Rendez Vous des Belges, outside the Gare Du Nord, Paris. Light golden body, small head. I found sweet honeyed floral flavours, maybe a bit sugary with a short finish. Not a complex ale but nice enough.
