3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33l bottle from Durbuy under name “Durboyse brune”. Dark brown with a red heu. Small beige head that diminished quickly but left some floating spots on the top. Very light fruity aroma, taste is also fruity with hint of some spice. It seems that it was a bit to cold for tasting so all flavors was a bit fade. Anyway it is a good, well balanced Brune beer.

Bottle coditioned, 330ml. Dark brown with red hue, cream head. Spicy thick bodied beer with fruit and a touch of aniseed. A little offputting tartness within the flavour, smacks of a touch of acidic cherry. Not the best Dubbel i have had.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown color with a beige head that refuses to die. Aroma is sweet and spicy with some dried fruits, caramel and a bit of alcohol. The first sip tasted sweet and nice at first, and then turned into a metallic flavor that wasn’t so pleasant. Medium body. Still an ok Dubbel anyway.
