This hearty beer is reddish in color and boasts a rich, creamy head, with overtones of anise and dry hop flavor.

Bottle - Thin head goes away quickly, leaving no lace at all. Sourish yeast and fruity to the nose. Rich & dry maltiness with a tons of plum and red fruits with a hint of vinegar. Body is really creamy.

Bottle - Slightly hazy brown colour, medium beige head, good retention and fine lacing. Fine toasted malt aromas with toffee, nut, raisins, dried fruits, some rd berries, low herbal hops. Taste is sweet, fruity and nutty, hop bitterness smoothens into it. Medium body, smooth carbonation, sticky texture, toasted finish. Nice dubbel, but not my favourite.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with a long lasting tall creamy head. Lacing. Anise, chocolate, honts of metal, some yeast. Thin palete, low/medium co2. Too much anise and way too thin imo.

Pours nut brown with cream head which quickly vanishes with little lacing. Tastes nutty with chocolate and coffee afterwards. A fine example.

On tap at Bier Markt, Toronto. Pours a fait size frothy brownish head but doesn’t stay very long. Weak lacing. Dark brown appearance. Aromas of roasted malt, notes of herbal hops and coffee. Flavours of dark roasted malts, dry fruits (raisins, dates). Licorice flavours in the finish. Average carbonation and retention. Somewhat disappointing but still enjoyable.
