Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 28, 2003 Updated: May 5, 2003A dark brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is slightly fruity with notes of alcohol. The flavor is alcoholic, fruity, sweet with only a very slight bitterness - it also has an orange note. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 23, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) My version with red label and 7% ABV. "Heavenly"!, was the first word that came to mind while sipping this letting the flavours hit my palate. Evoking sentiments of chocolate and surprisingly even more licorice. A dark and full-bodied beer and a very classical Dubbel indeed. 200394 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 12, 2003 Updated: Sep 13, 2004Sampled draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm.
Dark brown. Sweet and sugary. SOme very light roastiness and fruitiness. Clean mouthfeel. Dominated by sugar, sugar, sugar and sugar. How come I used to like this beer?

Old rating: Bottled. Very dark brown. Lightly herbal aroma. Rather dry, lightly roasty. Stylish and pleasant, a touch vinuous and rather clean. Complex, yet restrained with some salty licorice in the finish. (84/4/8/4/14) yespr (7831), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 21, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours dark murky brown with huge creamy light brown to slight grey head. Vague aroma, slight malty roasted with some minor fruity yeast notes. Sweet malty flavour with fruity yeast notes. Softly lingering into a slight bitter finish. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2001 Dark brown, yeasty, with dark fruits and pears on the palate.
