330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.3%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. The aroma has some unpleasant notes of stale chocolate and stale berries, also notes of anise. The flavour is moderately sweet and slightly fruity with notes of anise and malts. The anise seems entirely misplaced in a dubbel. This is not a beer for me.

Poured a dense dark brown with an off-white almost brown head. Aroma and flavour were primarily of dark fruits, nuts, chocolate and spices. The finish was quite spicy. Glad to have tried it.

Bottled(330ml). -Reddish pale brown coloured, small off-white head, discreet malty nose. Light roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits with notes of chocolate and nuts. Also few licorice hints. Mild alcoholic rather dry finish. St Feuillien Brune is much better but this is still good abbey dubbel.
