Very dark brown color with reddish hue, huge off white head. Aroma of figs, malts, brown sugar, honey. Medium to full body, average carbonation. Medium sweet taste. Not bad, but not my cup of tea also.

Darker pour. Shows little alcohol. Aroma and flavor of anise, yeast and light spices. Every so slightly fruity (orange). Light, dry body. Not too shabby...."

Kita (1048) - Koper, SLOVENIA - AUG 23, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l. Murky dark brown color with medium frothy light brown color, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, medicines, yeast and honey. Taste starts with sweet and rich toasted and mildly roasted malt, follows refreshing yeasty and dried fruit’s acidity, warming alcoholic mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and fizzy natural carbonation. Classy strong Belgian ale...

Alengrin (1360) - BELGIUM - AUG 16, 2014
The heaviest and most interesting of the Floreffe range, with thick, yellow beige, moussy head and very dark brown colour, almost blackish, with wine-red hue. Malty and fruity aroma with spices, impressions of chocolate, caramel, banana, apple, passion fruit, coffee grounds, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, orange peel, port wine, hazelnut paste, honey, marzipan, cream. Full malty taste with dry coriander effect that will accompany the entire palate, finish a chicory kind of bitterishness, bit roasted, as well as warming, gin-like alcohol.

Pours dark brown with loads of pillowy beige head. Nose is banana, clove, slightly dusty, dark fruits, toffee. Flavor is dark fruit, strong raisin, clove, vinious red wine character, toasted nut character on the finish. Fairly heavy mouthfeel, slight warming alcohol. Good.

Bottle, 75cl. An opaque dark brown with a ruby hue and a velvety tan head. Intense aroma of dry fruits, toffee, dark chocolate and alcohol. Heavy and robust, with a strong roasted backbone and a subtle alcohol finish. Rich, warming and very pleasant.

Bottle, 750ml. A dark beer with a reddish hue at the bottom and a big foamy head with beautiful lacing. Aroma is very complex, mainly of pecan nuts, spices, alcohol, caramel and toasted malt. Taste is bitter and goes slightly sour at the end. Very rich and robust with a considerable amount of carbonation and astringency. Overall a great beer and definitely one I would always try to keep in my cellar.
