blutt59 (955), Dallas, Texas, USA Nov 26, 2008 bottle, on sale at S&K for $4.99, pours cola brown with small tan head, aroma of dark fruits and sugared malts, carbonated full bodied, finish is a bit spicy and soothing Habanero (501), Tranbjerg, Denmark Nov 21, 2008 Bottled. Pours dark brown with a finely textured fluffy tan head about an inch in height. Excellent lacing. Nose of dark fruit and burned malt. Full bodied with subtile flavors from the spices. The spices don’t overpower this beer but add subtle nuances instead. Slighty citric bitterness and date like flavour. Nicely n´balanced. A very enjoyable brew.
robinvboyer (1071), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Nov 18, 2008 wicked aroma of dark ripe fruit, lorads of plums, figs, apples, and a really nice licorice anise aroma also. Great malt in the flavor, and more of the nice fruity notes. Finished smooth, and sweet, great after diner beer. garrison (444), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Oct 30, 2008 Updated: Nov 19, 2008Purchased for me by my loving girlfriend Nancy at ’Jungle Jim’s World Market’ in Fairfield (a suburb of Cincinnati), Ohio - This one pours a VERY dark brown brew with a light tan head of foam and a complex anise(liquorice)-fruit aroma. Tastewise, tis is a complex mingling of fruit and malts, with subtle hops over-and-undertones. This IS a great beer! Stefano (1051), Esbjerg, Denmark Oct 26, 2008 Dark brown with fine white lasting head. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, citrus, and some spices. Sweet malty nutty flavor with some hints of dark fruits. Malty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Cold winter night beer.
