Pours brown, with a large, light brown head. Aroma is malt and dark fruit. Flavor is darl fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, and spices. Pretty good.

33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Very deep brown colour with thick lasting beige head. Some really nice choccy malts on this. Bit of hot alcohol. Bit powdery in mouth, but great intensity of choccy malt. Yeah, it’s a bit simplistic, but it’s done well. I thought it was pretty decent if a bit sweet.

One of the best beer I found during my 6 days in Belgium. This is a dark brown beer with sediment and looks like an Abt. Big fruit and malt aroma. Flavor has sweet fruit and loads of malt with a very light alcohol taste. I perceive no flaws in this beer. Very good.

Coloração preta, levemente avermelhada. Creme bege, persistente e de ótima consistência. Notas de café e malte torrado. Paladar excessivamente amargo. Até o aroma é "amargo". Carbonatação média/alta. Álcool imperceptível, muito bem inserido. Sedimentos no fundo.

Bottle. Very dark brown, almost black with a huge beige head. Aroma is caramel, toasted malts and nuts. Taste is malty and sweet, lots of toffee, nuts and some wood. Good.

The head is huge, creamy and lasting with a very nice lace on this almost black beer. The aroma is complex with alluring notes of dark, ripe fruit. When I first tasted this it felt like I went back home after a long journey, like as if I knew it. The flavour has notes of dark fruit (especially raisin and plum), a bit of malt, chocolate, caramel and a nice bitter, citrussy finish. It’s not as "heavy" as many others in the same class, but it’s full-bodied, complex, harmonic and nice, and I like it a lot.
