Deep dark amber brown clear with medium size light tan lasting head. Faint fruit, malt and hops, lots of liquorice, and some alcoholic aromas. Medium body with real nice smooth mouth feel commencing with a tingling bitter slightly alcoholic start. Smooth well balanced middle and sweetish dry finish. The main flavours are candy caramel malt and liquorice with hints of dry cleaning fluid.

330ml bottle. Deep Mahogany with a little creamy light brown head. Very fruity, mainly prunes but also some grapes and other dark fruits. The lively carbonation, the liquorice-like spices and the mild acidity give it a tickling mouthfeel. Short finish with mild bitterness. Not sure why but I used to like it a lot more a year ago. Still I have to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s… and lucky me, my case of Prima Melior is not Caesar’s.

Bottle... Murky, brown ale with a large, frothy, khaki head. Terrific retention. Notes of sweet, dark fruit and spice in the nose. Rich, malty flavor with roasty notes of dark fruits and caramelized spice. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes smokey and sweet.

Bottled at the Loughborough Beer Festival 2006. Too cold when served, slowly warmed to a creamy choclolate taste with a slighlty sweet tinge; deep brown body, collapsing head, sweetness to the nose.

8/8 de l’embalage cadeau de Lefebvre. Arome légerte de noix et d’épice. Couleur de cola et un beau collet qui dure. Goût sûre, mais sucré avec des nuances de noix. Bonne tite créature!
