One of the best beer I found during my 6 days in Belgium. This is a dark brown beer with sediment and looks like an Abt. Big fruit and malt aroma. Flavor has sweet fruit and loads of malt with a very light alcohol taste. I perceive no flaws in this beer. Very good.

Floreffe Melior it one of more favourite ales for me, produced only the best impressions there Is a fortress and taste. Strong brown, accented ruby, it possesses the easy aroma of caramel, liqueur, shading koriandrom and anise. In the combination of beer’s components create magnificent malt taste with grass and caramel lines. Beer is worthy of respect, there is all in him, considered exemplary dark beer!

I sampled a corked and caged 500ml bottle. This ale poured dense and dark brown with a large beige head that left excellent lacing in the goblet, Belgian-style glass I selected for this aromatic wonder. The nose really is outstanding--dark fruits and the advertised licorice and orange peel are prominent. Palate entry is very sweet, with a dense caramel malt backbone and swirls of raisin, plum, dark cherry, spiced rum, chocolate, and licorice in the rich mid-palate. This ale wraps up strong with a long, warming finish. Excellent.

Botlle. Dark, reddish colour with a nice, firm tanned head. Complex aroma of raisins, ripe fruits, fresh baked bread and nuts. Flavour is well balanced. Some sweetness and subtle. Really easy drinkable and the alcohol is really well hidden. Didn’t expect this, quite good,

Pours a small light brown head that diminishes. Body is flat brown. Aroma contains some light malts, some roasted flavours and licorice and cinnamon. Palate is creamy with average carbonation. Flavor lasts long with fruits at the start and light hop and licorice at the end. There is light sweetnes, acidity and bitterness, all well balanced. I will definately drink this beer again!

De lekkerste van de floreffe-bieren, een aanrader voor mensen die van een donker bier met een heel complexe volle smaak houden
