Subtle aroma - got some apricot, orangle peel, but less of the spices - the anis promised by the bottle was virtually undetectable (to me, anyway). Fine looking beer, had a nice burnt orange translucence to it. Tastes of toffee and orange fruits, more mellow and subtle than I expected. Certainly quaffable. Definite yeast, the orange peel and coriander come through more as it warms. Not bad.

Fliptop bottled, 33 cl. Unclear dark brown colour, medium sized beige head. Nose and aroma ruled by dried fruits underpainted by brown sugar, alcohol and mild licorice. Dry, somewhat boozy finish with earth and licorice. Nice.

Beautiful appearance of dark brown colour with huge creamy beige head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of dried fruits like plum and raisin, some roastedness, minimal ash, and floral notes; taste of dried fruits, candy sugar, roasted notes and some minimal alcoholic warmth; excellent Belgian Strong Ale!

Bottle. Deep brown body. Creamy brownish head. Aroma of dried fruits, port like, raisin and plum, dark caramel, chocolate and alcohol. Flavour is similar with hop bitterness. Finish is sweet, port and long bitter after taste. Medium-full body and medium carbo. Not bad but too much on the port side for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a deep amber brown color with aromas of yeast and twanginess. Flavors are soy sauce, liquorice and some twangy sourness. Not good pretty bad. Drain pour.

Pours deep dark colour with a small and quickly fading head. Aroma of dark fruits, some chocolate, plum, caramel and a whiff of peach notes. A doze of plum, chocolate and warming alcohol in the taste made me believe that - with my eyes closed - I could easily confuse it with some of the Polish Baltic Porters. Quite a good specimen but rather for the rainy days.

Bonito color cafe. Aroma tostado y regaliz. Excelente sabor muy marcado a regaliz, pero también caramelo, vainilla, pimienta negra... Final seco y regusto amargo y potente. Muy buena.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2015 Bottiglia 0.75 l. Ottimo equlibrio di aromi che maschera molto bene la gradazione alcolica.
