3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75 cl bottle, 3.90€. Never heard of this brand but it revealed to be a good one. Dark yellow color, slightly hazed, persistenr foamy white head and quite sparkling. Nose is floral. Belgian yeast has a major role here together with blond malts and nice hops, combining in a winey note. Taste is quite sharp and moderately bitter. Finish is dry, fresh, a bit salty and fizzy on the tongue. Medium bodied and carbonated. Liked, nice price too.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flaske fra Barley Wine, på hytta juli-14: flott hvitt skum som varer helt til bunns, dette kan belgierne! Sjarmerende aroma og smak av lyse bær, appelin/mandarin og sommerblomster. Farlig lett å helle over drøvelen. Passet utmerket som nightcap til en episode av Borgen.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a huge white head with good retention and leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with some yeast and some herbal and grassy notes. Taste is a fruity and malty sweetness with a herbal and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A decent tripel, but certainly not one of the better ones out there.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thick foam head, slight haze, gold coloured. Strong and pleasantly smelling aromas of flowers, honey, raisins, sundried tomatoes, hint of wheat. Very nice. First sip, tastes relatively bitter with sour undertone, wheaty taste that develops to a citric high, then cools down to a mellow, slightly creamy sour with relatively strong aftertaste of alcohol. Foam remains strong, I like that. Nice early summer triple, would suit a meal with asparagus perfectly.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Review for TheBeerGuy.
Massive 3-4 finger head. Starts with citrus flavours, lemons, oranges, then develops to a banana-y malt. This then further develops to a spicy, citrus hoppy flavour with a decent bitterness. Followed by a warmth down the throat from the alcohol.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Visual: Pours golden honey brown with a large cream-foamy head, long retention, lots of sticky lacing, lots of steady streams.
Nose: typical tripel honeyed malts with chamomile (lvl 5)-pungency
Attack: super crisp fizzy
Mid-palate: creamy mouthfeel, (lvl-7)-sweetness, (MAIN) weird saltiness, chamomile, honey malts,
Finish: salty off-dry hopped finish.
Summary: The strange saltiness in the mid-to-finish is hard for me to thoroughly enjoy. Although the body and depth are there, I can think of several other Belgian tripel I’d much rather enjoy.
