Delicious if not a little dear. Surprised to see it on tap. Lovely tasting wheat beer as they usually are. a little sweeter than expected.

Bottle from Cava Wine Bar in Capitola. Poured into a Witkap Pater goblet. Hazy white peach flesh color with an eggshell head that leaves some nice gobs of lace. Mild aroma, mainly grassy and zesty with some orange peel. Not a lot of coriander here oddly enough. Flavor is mealy wheat and some spiciness, grass and yeast. The flavors don’t really fit together quite right, like they’re out of proportion to each other. It’s not enough to really nail down and explain but it’s enough to easily tell that this is rather inferior to, say, St Bernardus’ witbier. Average palate.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head and seemingly a lot of carbonation. Smell is of orange, wheat and slightly skunky. Luckly, the skunk doesn’t transfer over into the taste. The taste is solid for a wit. Not too strong, but still good. Overall, a good wit.

draft at hopcat as mennekin pis. pours murky straw color with small thick head. aroma is citric, almost like sourdough bread. very tart flavor, some yeastieness in the background. some spicieness balances the malt very well.

[1708-20080914] 330mL bottle. Citrus-doused light bread yeast aroma has a mild alcoholic fizz and spicy pineapple. Murky, pale yellow orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and lots of stringy floaties. More citrus lemon bread and lightly toasted yeast in the flavour. Light-medium body. Nicely made but nothing special, good.
(w/ jerc; labelled ’’Blanche de Bruxelles’’)

Draft (as Blanche de Bruxelles). Pale yellow, cloudy body with a white head. The aroma shows notes of grain and flowers and little else, perhaps some citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is lightly acidic with a slight tartness. There is a flavor of soapiness as well that is off-putting. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Not enjoyable. Lacks that clean tartness I associate with wits.
