pacaus (42), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 I was quite suprised to see it rated so low. I am a huge fan of Witbier and Hefe-weizens and having tried a lot of them have found this version to be one of the best. Many versions now are heavy on the spices but I found this beer to have nice colour with a great hear and solid lacing. The smell had a nice essence of the wheat and spice. The taste was very smooth with a nice wheat flavour and subtle hints of spice and fruit. Either way for me it was a great beer and most tastings I have had with friends have also enjoyed this one over the others I have offered. But that is the great thing with so many beer options available. zippyland (7), USA does not count Nov 14, 2001 I love Belgian white beer and this one didn’t disappoint. Fruity and sweet, but not even a little cloying. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Dec 24, 2003 Updated: Apr 5, 2004On tap at the Swan and Rushes, Leicester. Classic wit beer, which works well on draught, presented in a nice frosted glass. Perfectly balanced flavour, combining, chalky, milky, lemony notes, with added fizz and tanginess. This is particularly creamy on the front of the tongue, then the lemon kicks in big style. I'll say it again, classic opaque white beer - delicious. jde123 (706), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 1, 2007 Updated: Dec 24, 2007Tap, delicious it tastes llike lemon. i like lemons. that’s pretty important, if you don’t like lemons, you might not like this. It’s true. ancherrera (160), Cape Coral, Florida, USA Jul 26, 2001 Updated: Oct 21, 2003Fruity, light and aromatic. Very enjoyable. Also marketed under the unfortunate name of Maekin Pis.
