33 cl. flip-top bottle from ALBO. Consumed @ home. Presumably bottled on 30/05/2014. Clear pale golden, crazily lacing, fluffy super-soapy egg-white head. Smells of tangerines, honey, cleaning products, kiwi, quite hoppy, floral,… a mix of good & bad. Taste is floral, chemical, cleaning products, white grape, kiwi, litchi, dough, strange floral bitter, bitter, powdery, grain alcohol,… Touch oily. There are parts that I like about this beer & parts that rub me the wrong way. An odd mix, at least it is original, interesting & hop forward & this I can only applaud. I do feel like if they would have gone with different hops this would have been way better.

Excalibur123 (127) - Soria, SPAIN - AUG 13, 2014

Bontus (630) - Flanders, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2014
Bottle, 33cl. Pours exactly hazy yellow, eggwhite head. Exotic fruit nose, grapefruit. Bit pine resin. Smooth body, rather low carbonation. Very drinkable.

JorisPPattyn (7886) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 9, 2014
Towering yellowish, irregularily bubbled head, over well-carbonated, faintly hazy golden beer; shards of lace. Exotic hops’ nose with exotic fruit, getting replaced by some dry spices, hay. Bitter, harsh, liquorice, no trace of fruitiness in the mouth. Medium bodied at best, quite slick, spritzy. Another prime example of either using the wrong hops, either using hops in the wrong way. Or both.

Bottled @ Olivier Leiden. 33cl sample. The aroma has earthy yeast, citric hops and some grainy tones. Bit hazy, orange coloured beer with a big, white head. The taste is light bitter, has citric hoppiness and quite some yeast tones there.

CONCLUSION : amertume, fermeté, complexité : 3 belles qualités d’une houblonnée.

0.33l bottle. Slightly hazy light golden body, huge white head and very-very lively carbonation. The bottle has a noticeable sediment in its bottom. Aroma of bread, honey, cloves and some orange zest. Taste of bread, honey, lots of orange zest, some grapefruit and cloves. The finish is quite dry. Nice mixture of a classic belgian tripel and an IPA.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Lightly hazy golden color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, hops, a bit grassy. Taste malts, hops, grassy, "a touch of Orval", nicely bitter. Medium body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Very nice though.
