Pours honey yellow with two finger cap of fuzzy white suds. It’s cocktail hour up north at the cabin & the arguments are breaking out (are there enough lemons & who forgot the gin) so I just grabbed this beer & gave the bottle a shake. It’s a peppery, leafy & bubbly brew. It’s a pleasure to drink. Won’t blow your mind but it’ll make you happy. Oh look someone just handed me a martini. Double fisting time, daddy-o.

Pours a nice opaque golden color into a pint glass with generous 3 cm head that is long-lasting and has lacing. It’s not an IPA and the hops are not too overpowering. More of a strong Belgian ale with cloves spice. Nice and refreshing and deceptive on the alcohol as it’s 8.3% but doesn’t necessarily taste like it.

750ml bottle from the lcbo. A nice big Belgian blonde. Not has hoppy as the name would have you believe. Decent value.

750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with puffy white head with some retention and steady stream of bubbles. Aroma is grains, apple, grass and light spice. Flavour has appley fruitiness, peppery spice, graininess and grassiness. Modest bitterness in finish. Good.

Lekker hopbier met veel koolzuur. Iets te veel schuim, dat echter vrij rap wegtrekt. Smaak en geur zijn gelijklopend, hop! In tegenstelling tot andere hopbieren geen citrustoets.

Golden blond and hazy with a huge white head lasting throughout the glass. This head NEVER gave up. Extremely effervescent with a wheat overtone in the flavor. Very bright and flavorful, light and easy to drink.

Poured from a 750ml bottle, huge fluffy white head, lots of lacing on the glass, hazy pale gold in color. Aroma is of bready malt and honey with some light phenols. Flavor is very peppery to start giving way to some nice malt sweetness, the beer is malt forward but still balanced. Medium body with lively spritY carbonation. Overall its a very nice beer, peppery like a Saison but the malt profile is closer to a Belgian blond.

Metalchopz (2208) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 2, 2014
Single bottle from the LCBO with 8.3% ABV. and best before L14112015. Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a white head, good retention and some patchy foam lace. Aromas start off on the malty side, but eventually, grass appears with mild yeast. The herbal notes come out a little bit more in the taste, giving some decent bitterness. This creates a small dryness in the mouthfeel. Spicy flavours making this one a total Belgian hoppy beer, and not a North American experience.

Bottle. Pours clear amber, frothy stable white head. Crisp malty taste, notes of hops in the finish. Medium bitter, medium body. Average carbonation.
