A very nice balanced beer. Hoppy of course, but not overly bitter. Fruity and sweet as well. one of my favourite hoppy Belgian beers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: malts, bread, caramel. Appearance: light pale, slightly hazy gold, big white frothy head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, crisp, floral hops, malty feel, bread, light sugars. Overall: nice Belgian Strong Ale, nice palate, has something of a Lager-like palate, but more flavourful. Bottle from Beer of Belgium, Ypres.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, Le Diplo, Brussels. Amber, large white head. Aroma mostly malts, taste surprisingly sweet- bananas, custard, palate then turn bitter. Medium body. For the high abv (8.5%), one would expect more complexity.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy light gold with a huge pillowy white top. Good thing I read about this one possibly being a gusher. Aroma is big cereal malts, yeast and citrus hops. Taste is again light cereal hops, yeast and a moderate citrus hop bite. More bitter than hop flavouring.

750ml bottle. Clear golden body, huge white fluffy head with good retention. Aroma of yeast, grains and herbal hops, coriander, leather, pepper. Taste of yeast and herbs, pepper, metallic notes and a strong malt sweetness. Strongly alcoholic, even if it was well chilled.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours honey yellow with two finger cap of fuzzy white suds. It’s cocktail hour up north at the cabin & the arguments are breaking out (are there enough lemons & who forgot the gin) so I just grabbed this beer & gave the bottle a shake. It’s a peppery, leafy & bubbly brew. It’s a pleasure to drink. Won’t blow your mind but it’ll make you happy. Oh look someone just handed me a martini. Double fisting time, daddy-o.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice opaque golden color into a pint glass with generous 3 cm head that is long-lasting and has lacing. It’s not an IPA and the hops are not too overpowering. More of a strong Belgian ale with cloves spice. Nice and refreshing and deceptive on the alcohol as it’s 8.3% but doesn’t necessarily taste like it.
