Slightly hoppy golden ale aroma. Gold with white head. Sweet ; like a tripel meets a saison.

Swing top bottle (8,3% ABV). a hazy pale golden beer with a large, fizzy, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly to moderately malty, lightly to modeartely hoppy with notes of cereals, flowers, herbs, cooked vegetables, alcohol and plastic/metal. The flavour is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly sour, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Not so much hop character, not so balanced, not clean and too sugary. Forgettable.

330ml bottle from Country Club Liquors. Nose of floral hops, cloves, corriander, yeast, and light sweet honey notes. Hazy yellow with a big pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with lots of yeasty breadiness and spices. Decent stuff!

Pours cloudy yellow/brown with a decent sized white head... decent amount of carbonation and nice lacing. Smells nice and fresh, with light hoppy notes and not that much of else. Taste is very hoppy with a subtle alcohol aftertaste, it doesn’t lie with the name of hopus... its kind of like a mix between an IPA and a Tripel, very interesting.

Bottle sampled on 9/4/09: Pours a bright clear golden bronze with a large clingy-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt with lots of floral grassy hops and some sugary light fruity esters. Starts with decent fullness and finely dissolved carbonation with a light pale malty sweetness and some grassy citrusy hop bitterness before a smooth, bittersweet finish. Well-balanced and drinkable.

Kellemes söröcske a komlósabb főzetek kedvelőinek számára.

Bottled. Hazy golden colored, big white head. Hoppy nose, some spices, a bit like Duvel. Initially bitter flavor, but later on some artificial sweetness kicks in, very unpleasant. Dry finish. The hoppy background is nice, but this one is too sweet to really enjoy.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2011 33cl bottle with bracket
Poured in two glasses. The beer in the big glass has a clear yellow to golden color and the 2cm sediment left in the bottle poured in the small glass has a very hazy yellow color. The head is huge and leaves very sticky lacing.
The aroma is sweet malty with some spices and hops. Taste is sweet malty with a large amount of fresh hops creating a nice bitterness. The aftertaste is sweet hoppy and dry bitter.
A good belgian strong ale.

Bottled 33cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. It pours a moderately hazy golden beer with a huge mountainous head. The aroma is nicely hoppy (5 different varieties) with acacia, honey, orange, peach, cloves and candy floss showing up. Good yeast profile. Spicy, peppery on the swallow. Relatively strong carbonation. Full bodied. The alcohol is nicely hidden. Beautiful lacework. Good bitterness. Dryish finish which is reminiscent of acacia, cloves and mandarin orange. A tasty beer.

Bottle. Clear golden with a frothy white head. Malt, spice and underlying hoppy notes. The flavour is caramel, spice and mild fruit. Medium bodied. A dry hoppy bite in the finish. Not overly good.
