Leffe 9° has been brewed following the tradition at the Leffe Abbey. It is a top-fermenting beer with a deep golden colour and an alcohol content of 9% abv. Its fullmouthed taste and rich aroma results in a characterfull beer. It is the ideal beer for a feeling of sheer voluptuousness.

Very clear, copper body with bubbly off white head. Yeasty aroma, clean malts, light dough, red berries and little hops. Very mild clear taste, starting with light bitterness and into a more yeasty ending. Fairly high carbonated. Boring and not in need of all that alcohol, but faultless brew and not without flavour. (75cl bottle from Carrefour in Tours)

0.33L bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aromas are similar to leffe blonde, but a little more muted. Aromas of alcohol, wood, bubblegum, cooked vegetables. Medium sweetness at the beginning that develops into some candi sugar flavor, finishing with some herby hop linger and bitter yeast flavor and alcohol. Medium-full bodied with a sticky moutfeel and lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty heavy, sugary beer without a ton of flavor to go along with it.

Copper beer, small beige head. Some peach on the nose. Tastes kinda the same as "royale". Both this and royale being weaker than blonde. Very light body compared to the ABV. Boring!

Borostyánszínű főzet, mely gyümölcsök és vadvirágok illatát idézi. Íze erőteljes, az alkohol jelenléte intenzív - hozzáteszem, hogy az előírtnál valamivel magasabb hőmérsékleten fogyasztottam -, a nevében szereplő szám mértékének hitelességéhez kétségünk sem férhet. Karakteres sör, összetett ízvilággal, mely még a két, ismertebb testvérénél is nagyszerűbbre sikeredett.

Aroma: caramel malts, some alcohol. Appearance: dark hazy amber, small creamy white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets intensify, some alcohol, caramel malts. Overall: very nice Belgian Strong Ale, on the sweet side yet feels just right. Bottle from Beer of Belgium, Ypres.

Clear ruby colour with 2 finger non-persistent head in a tulip glass. Smell is very sweet, honey, yeasty, toffee, some banana. Taste is also quite sweet, toffee, honey, malts. Very little bitterness and a bit cloying. Nice thick mouthfeel but the alcohol is quite obvious. Not a bad ale overall but too sweet.
