Leffe 9° has been brewed following the tradition at the Leffe Abbey. It is a top-fermenting beer with a deep golden colour and an alcohol content of 9% abv. Its fullmouthed taste and rich aroma results in a characterfull beer. It is the ideal beer for a feeling of sheer voluptuousness.

Aroma of malt, suger and alchol. Small white head that do not lasts for so long, sticks to the sides af the glass. Amber and clear in the glass. Typical Leffe taste, sweet and drinkable, but also some alchol in the finish.

Thanks Olaf for the bottle, please come back to visit when you can. This was poured into a chalice. The appearance was an orange color with a decent fair one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a fine stringy lacing clinging but sliding in a nice way. The smell had a nice combined Belgian sweet spice to invade a decent orange pith of an aroma. Hmmmm....I like it. The taste was there, it was sweet and spicy with a nice citrusy sort of aspect running amuck over my tongue and mouth. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the palate with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed fairly subdued but still showing a fair sharpness about it. Overall, for the most part this was a good Belgian Strong Ale that I would have again.

Helder lichtbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is kruidig en licht zoet, citrus, koriander en fruit. Iets pittiger dan de gewone Leffe. Blijft redelijk lang hangen.

Near amber in color, sweet malty aroma. No hops to detect. A lot of alcohol, but wouldnt expect to be 9%. Feels just like a stronger version of Leffe Blonde.

Een goed stevig bier, maar een met wat te weinig smaak naar mijn zin. Dan zijn er betere.

A stringy and astringent bitter beer. To be sipped and nursed. Not for the faint of heart. A little bit metallis and harsh.

Amber colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet and malty aroma with notes of caramel, banana, honey and brown sugar. Light bitter finish. Unbalanced and too sweet. I don’t like this.

Pours a hazy amber body with a thin head. Malty aroma with tones of salami. Nice malty, well balanced taste.

0.33L bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aromas are similar to leffe blonde, but a little more muted. Aromas of alcohol, wood, bubblegum, cooked vegetables. Medium sweetness at the beginning that develops into some candi sugar flavor, finishing with some herby hop linger and bitter yeast flavor and alcohol. Medium-full bodied with a sticky moutfeel and lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty heavy, sugary beer without a ton of flavor to go along with it.
